My journey as a designer to 'Designheryerde.com'

It wasn't until the 3rd semester, following my foundation year, that I encountered my first design thinking project. With a lot of questions and theory, I found myself pondering the practical application of my knowledge: How to use it? How to do it the right way?

When I look back after doing projects on various domains, I can answer my curious me, that is, have patience. That I am going to learn. And I will be able to articulate decisions the right way.
What I need is time and a lot of experimentation, experimentation not just during processes but also to ask questions and ask versions of those questions iteratively until I have what I want.

This wasn't limited to the design process alone but extended to the iterative questioning of my own decisions in my life, refining and redefining them until they aligned with my vision.

And In the process, I learnt that ‘Design is Everywhere’ and ‘Nature’, is the biggest designer!

‘Heryerde’ is a Turkish phrase that means ‘Everywhere’, But why Turkish?

Because Turkey is one of the most beautiful places I want to visit first!

With that thought in mind, the question was what I am aiming for? A part of me wanted perfection and I knew that for that, I needed to learn a lot.

Nevertheless, I am no longer looking for perfection. Now all my questions are looking for the right solution and in the process, I learn to achieve what is perceived as perfection.

Now my journey is coming to a new beginning, I am going on a hunt for an internship for me and document my learnings on designheryerde.com. All these months have prepared and made me realize what I need to look for as a Designer, to not just try to reach a destination (perfection) but to look for ways to learn, to understand the world better, to understand myself better, and to experiment a lot!
